Welcome

        The Iowa City Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) is what is known as an unprogrammed or silent meeting.  Everyone is welcome to join us.

The Meeting for Worship is the heart of the Society of Friends. We gather to experience communion with the Spirit.  We believe the active expectant silence allows one's mind to center inwardly.  Each person is aided and strengthened by the seeking of others and since everyone is a participant in this fellowship worship becomes a corporate experience.
